Melissa, my dear friend since childhood, lost her home in the Spokane wildfire. She, her husband, their dog, and three children—Liv (14), JJ (12), and Teddy (20 months)—escaped safely, but everything else was destroyed. Now, they are left with nothing and are struggling to process the shock and devastation of losing their home and all their belongings.
