Marylou, my aunt, has always been such a generous and giving person, supporting her family and people around her whenever she could. Recently, our family received devastating news: Marylou was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. The diagnosis has brought many challenges, and she is now facing a difficult journey ahead to get treatment.
In South Africa, the healthcare system is oversubscribed, and despite her efforts to seek help, Marylou was told that because of her age, she is not a high priority for treatment. This has left her with limited options, and she is now looking to travel to India for the care she urgently needs. The costs of medical bills and travel are overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to support her.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond for help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward Marylou’s medical bills and travel expenses for her treatment in India. Thank you in advance for considering to help Marylou. Funds will go through Susan Wemyss, her sister, to get to Marylou. Your support means the world to us and will give her hope and a fighting chance.
