I don’t love posting things like this, but this is where we are.

My daughter Maggie is in her final stretch of college at WSU, one current semester and one summer semester away from graduating with a degree in Animal Science, and plans to pursue a master’s degree w a wildlife focus.

Due to difficulty passing a required chemistry course, her FAFSA funding was temporarily suspended for this semester. As a result, she is responsible for full tuition as well as her share of rent, utilities, and basic living expenses, which were previously covered by funding, despite remaining enrolled full-time.

We share a household, and we are both full-time students. I am a psychology major working on my own independent research focused on addiction and recovery. Maggie is working, but her hours are currently limited. We are already living at a very basic level and have explored available assistance (state aid, EBT, food support); despite this, we do not qualify and already rely on community food resources when we can.

If Maggie passes this course, completes and pays for this current semester, her funding will be reinstated for the summer, and she will complete her degree.

The sudden loss of financial aid created a gap we cannot realistically cover alone. This fundraiser is to help with tuition and essential living costs so Maggie can remain enrolled and finish her education.
