Hi all,

This is a fundraising page for LGBTQ legend Joan Jett Blakk (Terence Smith.) Joan was the first drag queen to run for US President. She ran in 1992 and 1996. When she ran against George H. Bush in 1992 her campaign slogan was, "Lick Bush in '92!" Joan is a sex positive pioneer! Joan was doing gender queer and drag performance way before Rupaul Drag Race was ever thought of. And as so many of our LGBT leaders are, Joan is African American and led the charge as an out queer person.

Unfortunately, Joan had a major stroke towards the end of April. She is currently still hospitalized and will require many months of skilled rehab to recover from the stroke. We are raising money for Joan as her medical bills will pile up. Could you assist with any level of donation to aid our gay elder?
