Help Jason McNair fight to come home!

My name is Rachel and on the 25th of November 2021 my family received news that no family ever wants to receive. My cousin Jason was in the hospital with Covid pneumonia and being put on a ventilator in ICU. On Thanksgiving afternoon, the doctors said that Jason had a 5% chance of surviving this. His wife Storm, his son Sam, and our entire family knew that he and God were stronger than that! What followed next were 7 weeks of ups and downs that we could only put into God's hands. God is in control and has been working miracles for Jason this whole time! On December 28th we received a late Christmas gift and were given news that Jason had a successful tracheotomy, which was the next major step in his road to recovery. With the help of God and prayers from our family and friends Jason is alert and able to communicate with Storm. Jason is still currently in ICU, receiving help from the ventilator to breathe when breathing on his own becomes too tiresome for him. Jason is alive to serve God and now he continues, along with his family, to fight to get home. Jason is an amazing spirit! His love for God, his family, his friends, his students, his church, and his Buffalo Bills knows no bounds. Jason is an amazing leader in his community and in his church.  He continues to fight to get back home. He continues to fight to get back to his wife and son. He continues to fight to get back to teaching his students. He continues to fight to get back to his church family to lead in worship. He continues to fight to get back to Highmark stadium to watch his beloved Buffalo Bills play. He has set a goal for himself to be home in June. He is a strong man, and with God's help, we do believe that this is possible, but it is not without work. We are asking for prayers above anything else to give Jason the strength for the next steps in his fight. Jason will need an extensive amount of physical and occupational therapy. His wife Storm continues to be by his side and to be his voice to make sure that our Big guy has everything he needs. All of the donations will be used to obtain any medical equipment needed, relieve the stress of medical expenses, and assist Jason, Storm, and Sam with moving into a home that is handicap accessible. Jason is alive to serve God, and we can not thank you enough for the overwhelming amount of love and support our family has received during this time.
