Help Dani & Hugo’s Pup Calli Recover

A very close friend and coworker of mine, Dani, is going through every pet owner’s worst nightmare. She’s a private person and doesn’t usually share much about her life outside of work, so she doesn’t know I’m organizing this—but her sweet pup, Calli, needs our support.

Last Saturday, Calli suddenly went from walking a little funny to losing all feeling and use in her back legs. After being rushed to the hospital, vets discovered more bleeding and blockages than expected. She has already spent nearly a week in intensive care, and the next 30 days are critical to see if she regains sensitivity in her legs.

The financial toll has been staggering—over $11,000 in emergency vet bills so far, with ongoing medications, rehab, and aftercare still ahead. This heartbreaking situation was caused by trauma, though Dani and her partner, Hugo, never saw anything happen—it came completely out of the blue.
