Aloha,
My name is Cesar Morales, and I’m reaching out to share a very personal chapter of my life and ask for support as I take the biggest step of my career so far.
I’m honored to share that I have been accepted into the UCLA Paramedic Program that begins in January 2026, one of the most respected and challenging paramedic programs in the country. This acceptance represents years of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to serving the community at a higher level.
My fire department has generously sponsored my seat in the program, giving me the chance to pursue this dream but I am responsible for covering all tuition, materials, required equipment, transportation, and living expenses throughout the program. My tuition payment is due December 29, 2025, and the total cost of tuition and materials exceeds $10,000 not including living costs while in full-time training.
Our country is facing a nationwide shortage of qualified paramedics. Every year, more 911 systems struggle with understaffing, and communities feel the impact. With longer response times, overextended crews, and moments where people go with a delay of lifesaving treatment they desperately need. Becoming a paramedic isn’t just a personal goal for me; it’s a commitment to stepping up and helping meet a real need in the communities we serve.
Why I’m Asking for Help
Paramedic school is a full-time, demanding program. Once classes begin in January, my life will revolve around coursework, clinical rotations, field internships, and the preparation required to provide advanced life support in the field. Because of this, my ability to work will be extremely limited.
I will still be “brewing aloha” on weekends with Milo’s Coffee & Co., but my primary focus will be giving this program everything I have so I can graduate successfully and continue serving the community with the highest level of medical training.
This program is not just a career move it’s a lifelong investment in serving others and building a future in emergency medicine.
Why This Means So Much
I grew up learning that if you want something, you work relentlessly for it. I’ve done that my entire life, and this opportunity is the next step toward a goal I’ve been chasing for years. Becoming a paramedic will allow me to expand my skills, give back on a larger scale, and build a foundation for a long career helping people on their worst days. Your support will help me turn this dream into reality. Truly everything helps.
Thank You for Being Part of This Journey
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, share it, or support it in any way. I’m deeply grateful for this community and for everyone who believes in me. With your help, I’m one step closer to becoming a paramedic and making a difference for years to come.
With gratitude,
Cesar Morales
