On July 10th, Allie’s family lost nearly everything in the historic Black River flood.

As the water rose faster than anyone expected, and water started to enter their home, they had to be rescued from the roof of their home by emergency responders. By God’s grace, every member of their family (and family friends who were staying overnight) made it out safely.

While they’re incredibly thankful that the house may be salvageable, they still don’t know the full extent of the damage underneath the home or whether it will ultimately be safe to live in. Even if the house can be saved, the flood destroyed so much of what the family relies on every day.

Allie’s parents live on the same property and also suffered a lot of damages.

Collectively, lost their side-by-side, lawn mowers, children’s bike and trampoline, a chicken coop full of chickens, a shed, 7 goats, a chest freezer and refrigerator full of meat. Barns need foundation repairs, tractors may need replaced, and their garden was decimated. At least two vehicles are expected to be a total loss. The cleanup and recovery will be a long road, and many expenses aren’t covered or are still unknown.

If you feel led to help, any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward immediate needs (housing, food, basic essentials) and replacing essential equipment, recovering from the losses, and helping their whole family rebuild their property in the weeks and months ahead. Insurance claims take time and life doesn’t stop in the meantime.

Allie has always been incredibly giving to everyone around her, and now it’s our turn to support her and her family. If you know Allie or have been touched by her kindness & generosity over the years, please consider donating and/or sharing this fundraiser. Together, we can help her family get back on their feet and show them the love and support they’ve given to so many.
