Support Aliyi & Naima: Refugee Family in Need

My name is Melanie Lemley and these are my dear friends Aliyi Bilal and Naima Mohamed. Aliyi and Naima and their two sons, Ammar (7) and Adam (3), legally immigrated to the US as asylee refugees on January 13, 2025. Two weeks later, the federal government rescinded all federal funding for refugees currently in the U.S. Ordinarily, the federal government provides funding for the first three months of immigration to allow the family to find work and generate their own income. However, the Mohamed family has no support funding, and there will be no payments for their rent after February 28, 2025.

Aliyi is currently seeking and applying for a job in Fort Worth, where they are living, but they have no financial resources to pay rent or utilities, or to pay for bus passes for Aliyi to get to a job once he starts one.

Naima is expecting baby number three in late August, so this sweet family will have additional expenses in the near future.

Would you please consider a donation of any size to help support this family in their time of great need? The funds will go directly to Aliyi and Naima to pay for all needs until Aliyi is able to receive his first paycheck after finding a job.
