Contribute to Helping Ukrainian Families in Need

Hi! Our names are Campbell Hughes and Polina Helinski, and we are members of the Upper School at The Potomac School in McLean. We both come from Ukrainian backgrounds – in recent weeks, our brave families have either escaped the Russian crisis or are still currently enduring it. Having such a close connection to these atrocities has brought into focus how desperate their situation is. The Ukrainians are in dire need of U.S. assistance, and our community has the resources to help. Please consider donating to help the Ukrainian community!

 

We have chosen two organizations that will each receive 50% of the charitable proceeds. Good360 focuses on food, hygiene, personal care products, and more, and The Leleka Foundation focuses on getting medical supplies and first-aid kits to Ukraine. These charitable organizations have been well researched, and we are confident that your donations will be put to good use.

 

Please share this broadly with friends and family, every $40 provides essential hygiene supplies for three people for a month, and every $100 provides a first-aid kit to emergency responders.

 

We hope you will think outside of our safe and secure walls of northern Virginia and consider the impact that a small (or large) donation to a struggling country could make.
