Grover’s spinal surgery
Donazione protetta
Grover needs help!! He somehow (we think playing ball) suffered a spinal injury, was in extreme pain and couldn’t keep his legs under him. After 2 visits to the emergency vets on Sunday, he ended up having an X-ray to rule out any tumors then an MRI to determine what exactly was happening.
Finally late Sunday, Grover had an emergency surgery because his spinal cord was swollen and one disc was herniated.
He had a really rough time with all the meds and wasn’t eating or drinking and had excessive drooling. He wasn’t able to use his hind legs at all. During surgery the surgeon had to drill thru his spine to remove the disc.
Currently he has 12 staples on his back and has to be kept quiet so he can heal. There will be months of therapy. He will need to have his bladder expressed daily. He still is unable to use his hind legs BUT he is wagging his tail. Thankfully Kait can handle all his physical needs. But there will still be many more doctor visits ahead.
We are asking for your help. This isn’t easy to put this out there for the world to see, but his bills have already hit $9,000 and they aren’t all in yet. Thank you all for your support and love for us and Grover
