hello, my name is vd / naomi and i am a disabled trans person who has been struggling for a long time. i was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease at 17 (early on-set) and have since been diagnosed with ptsd as well.
i applied for disability benefits in 2022 and it took 2 years to be accepted. i started to decline at age 22 after working since age 14 as soon as i could, and slowly tapered off hours until i left my job at 26.
in the last 5 years i've lived off of begging from family members and friends with tiny paychecks, then finally disability payments that left me with $400 left for everything because my rent is $1,250/month, something i could afford when i moved here working full time and no longer can.
i am looking for cheaper housing because i do not qualify for rental assistance, but i'm locked into this lease until next september. my goal seems like a lot but it's nowhere what i need truly unfortunately. i have almost $20,000 in debt since all of my cards are maxed out and have drained my life savings. this is quite literally the bare minimum, though it humiliates me to say that.
goal breakdown:
$5,000 - gets my credit cards out of the red with some breathing room
$4,000 - estimated down payment on new housing (1st, last, security, + broker)
i've given a lot to the internet in my time, i hope this isn't too much to ask in return. my friends who share this can vouch for my story, all i have is screenshots of the debt.

hello everyone, good news! i am all set to move into my new housing in august with cheaper rent, so i've adjusted my goal down to no longer include my apartment deposit. unfortunately still all of my credit cards are maxxed out, my savings is drained, and i have an $113 bill due in two days that will overdraft my account. if you could donate and share so that i can get back to a better place, i would appreciate it.

hello everyone, my apartment has had a ceiling leak of gross brown water for over 3 weeks and i really need to move sooner than expected. i don't have much money for commuting between my two places as well as other charges that come up during the process, but i got permission from my new roommate to move in early. i will by trying to do it for 7/17, please donate and share if you can.

hello, i have successfully moved. i got an email that the payment plan for one of my credit cards is going to run out in november, so i need to pay it off and cancel it before my monthly payments are over $300/mo which i cannot afford. the balance is around $4,000, as i've paid off some of it since the above screenshot.
