It’s your favorite lesbian dog moms – Victoria & Abigail.

Our sweet angel boy Foster had to have an emergency surgery to remove 4 of his lymph nodes, that had suddenly swelled up around his neck and shoulders. A CT scan revealed that they were suffering chronic inflammation, likely from trying to fight off some kind of infection.

We are still waiting on the biopsy results for more information, but they have ruled out lymphoma, for which we are incredibly relieved and grateful.

When Foster came home with me in October of 2016, I immediately knew he would alter me. He softened my edges, made me slow down, and showed me how to put someone else's needs before my own.

He’s seen me at my absolute worst, been by my side as I got sober, helped me heal, and later, watched me fall in love. There are no lengths I wouldn't go to for my OG sidekick because the value he continues to add to my life is without measure.

Foster is pure joy, and so much attitude. He’s a sassy, snoring, weighted blanket that will let you smoosh his face and hold his paw and will never not ask for what he needs. So his moms are taking a cue from this sweet angel. — ABIGAIL

We were unexpectedly forced to move from our last place, due to a flood and uninhabitable conditions. With the upfront costs of moving, both our cars in need of repairs, leftover pandemic debt, and anticipated lost wages during Foster’s recovery, our finances aren’t able to bear the additional $9,281.80 from his surgery.

While we aren’t waving the white flag just yet — God knows we’ve certainly had moments of utter defeat — We are rallying the army of people around us and asking for help.

It has taken us a long time to rid ourselves of the notion that we have to sacrifice ourselves, and continually miss out on time with our friends and families just to crawl our way to the finish line when actually, we can get there right now if we’re willing to allow ourselves to be carried.

Our goal is $11,000 with a majority of it going towards Foster's surgery bill, and the rest towards any additional medications, tests, or vet visits he may need.

But if ya'll wanna blow this thing out of the water, we wouldn’t mind as it's been a challenge to catch up and maintain our basic needs.

And if you're not able to support us by way of donating, we will gladly accept help and support in other ways. Some things we've thought might be helpful:

-Offering to sit with Foster so we can take care of house/personal needs; go on a date
