Fundraising for AASMC's volunteer trip to Armenia

Hi everyone! My name is Emma Grigorian and I will be a senior in high school next year. An amazing opportunity has come my way to volunteer with the Armenian American Sports Medicine Coalition (AASMC) in Yerevan, Armenia towards the end of this summer. In order to make this possible, the AASMC needs to raise approximately $30,000, of which I would like to raise $5,000. This will cover travel and housing costs for the participants, all of whom are volunteers, and allow the purchase of important medical equipment that is difficult for Armenian clinics to obtain. AASMC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, so all donations are completely tax-deductible.  Since 2017, the AASMC has been conducting educational and clinical outreach trips to Armenia, providing lectures and clinical support to the Armenian National Team and the Armenian National Paralympic Committee. The AASMC team of volunteers also works in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings serving patients suffering from war trauma, in outpatient physiotherapy clinics, and in several pediatric rehabilitation clinics. I am really passionate about this trip and so eager to witness and contribute in some small way to the incredible work that the AASMC is doing within the Armenian community. As an Armenian-American, I am proud to give back to my community, if only in a small way; and as a dancer who is also an aspiring sports medicine doctor, I look forward to learning from this group of physicians and clinicians who freely give of their time and resources to provide care, training and education to others in a country not their own. As part of my role on this trip, I will document and share on social media the work that is done by the AASMC and the impact that this project has on Armenians who would otherwise not have access to this type of care. All members of the AASMC team are participating in this fundraising effort. I hope you can help me reach my personal goal of raising $5,000 for this trip. Whether it’s $5 or $500, your participation means so much, not only to me, but also to this amazing organization and, most importantly of all, to the community that will be served in Armenia.
