From Neglect to Hope: Help Us Heal Chance
On Sunday, September 15th, a terrified young dog was seen darting through traffic on the Old Bundoran Road near Supermacs in Sligo. A compassionate passerby stopped just in time to rescue him from what could have been a fatal accident. They saw the suffering in his eyes and named him Chance, because this is his second chance—a chance to know love, comfort, and safety after a life of severe neglect.
Chance’s Story
When Chance was found, it was immediately clear that he had endured unthinkable neglect. His fragile body and wary gaze revealed months, if not longer, of suffering. At only one year old, Chance has already experienced more pain than any creature ever should. He is underweight, weak, and emotionally shut down. Most days, he simply lies in his bed, gathering the strength to lift his head and wag his tail when he sees us—a small sign that the spark of hope remains.
If anyone has any information about Chance’s past or the people responsible for his condition, please come forward. No animal should suffer like this, and Chance deserves justice as much as he deserves love.
