Our Family Is Facing the Unimaginable

At 1 a.m. on August 2nd, our world changed forever.

The building where my parents spent the last 28 years building their small business—and building our family’s life—burned to the ground.

This wasn’t just their workplace. For many years, it was our second home. The upstairs apartment sheltered us through hard times. We lived there. We grew up there. It held our family’s history, our livelihood, and our heart.

When the fire broke out, my dad and cousin were inside. In an act of incredible bravery, my cousin saved my dad’s life. We are beyond grateful they made it out. But everything else—every tool, every record, every piece of what they built—was destroyed in minutes.

This business was my parents’ life’s work. They sacrificed vacations, sleep, and countless comforts to keep it alive. It wasn’t just how they paid the bills—it was their dream, their identity, their legacy. And now, it’s gone.

They have no way to pay bills right now. No equipment to restart. No income to fall back on.

We don’t know exactly what comes next, but we’re putting our faith in God and taking things one step at a time.

If you can help—through donations, prayers, or sharing our story—we would be forever grateful. Every gift, every kind word, every prayer reminds my parents they’re not alone in this.

With love and thanks,
The Magallanes Family
