Homeless Job Training & Hiring

Empowering Homeless Professionals:

Homeless Professionals(HPs) are considered to be anyone that has held a professional job in areas such as lawn care, electrical work, repairmen, A/C techs, etc.

Mission
To provide 25 HPs a job, place to stay, and a vehicle to use for commuting to and from work assignments.

How Your Money will be Used
Every $1 spent goes directly to retraining each Homeless Professional, establishing housing, and providing transportation. We  have openings available for 25 HPs(We've hired 2 as of today, see video ). We have identified a group of homeless professionals currently residing in tents located behind a local church.

Jobs
We have 25 positions available that we would like to fill by hiring homeless professionals. These jobs will pay a minimum of $16 per hour. Once an HP has been retrained, we will begin assigning work orders to them ranging from lawn service to roofing requests.  

Training
Access to technical training, seminars, and counseling sessions are provided to each HP. 

In addition to the specialized training and seminars, our HPs are apart of a paid internship program whereas they are allowed to go on job sites with our in-house service crews as well as subcontracting companies. This gives each HP a chance to learn on the job and apply the skills they've re-learned.

Housing
We have secured contractors that will build  "Tiny homes" for $10k each.  We are also working to acquire  land that will allow for us to have our first Tiny House Community. This initiative will be one of the most challenging since we will need to acquire significant funding for the land we've identified. Our housing plan could take up to 3 years to fully implement which is based on how quickly we can raise enough capital. In the meantime, we will leverage apartment homes for our HPs.

Weekly Updates
Transparency is extremely important to us. Our system tracks every dollar spent and will be made available to each of you through our GoFundMe Page through weekly updates. We believe that our level of transparency will encourage more donors as well as influence other organizations to follow a similar path.

About Me
My name is Solomon Williams and I am the founder of BW Property Management Group  which manages home services for almost 2000 homes. We are based out of Orlando Florida and have been in business since 2008. We are a very small team but we've made a large impact in our community by providing low-cost home services. We have been listed as one of Orlando's Top 40 Businesses by the Orlando Business Journal.
