Emergency Orthopedic surgery for Anakin

Anakin is our sweet 5 yr old male tuxedo cat. On one of his backyard adventures, he managed to break his back foot, requiring emergency orthopedic surgery. The veterinary surgeon likened his injury to a construction worker falling off a ladder and landing full weight on his ankle.


Without the surgery, Anakin would not have been able to walk normally and would have always been in pain. He now has a small plate and screws in his back foot. He is doing well - his rehabilitation will require a plaster cast for 6 weeks.  He is staying safe and being the model patient. He is a real sweetheart.





In this uncertain time of COVID-19, his injury has added to an already stressful situation. As a member of the family, though, we couldn't let him suffer.
