Elton Schenk-Beating The Burn

Due to the storm that terrorized our county this past weekend (July 19th and 20th), another heroic man was injured while tending to the debree of a fallen tree that had damaged his family's home. After removing the tree, Elton Schenk of Custer WI was burned in a freak explosion of brush fire in his front yard. He is suffering 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the right side of his face, ear, legs, and arms. Elton was able to call 911 on his own and keep conciousness until the paramedics arrived on the scene. He was rushed by ambulance to UW Madison WI burn unit. His fiance Lindley was phoned by the sherriff's department and hurried to be by his side. The couple is relying on family and friends to care for their 2 year old son and animals. Since Elton is the primary income for their household, he is worried about his family, like any wonderful dad would be. Any financial help would lessen the burden at this time. Thank you so much :)
