My name is Claire, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. My parents’ beloved dog Oliver—our sweet 9-year-old Auggie—was recently injured in a freak accident and needs help

A few weeks ago, in a split-second moment, Oliver got underfoot (as dogs sometimes do) and was accidentally trampled. The result was devastating: his back paw was shattered and required emergency surgery. He now has 9 screws in his tiny foot and a long road of healing ahead.

The total cost of care has already exceeded $7,000, and the bills are still coming in.

If you’ve ever met Oliver, you know what a true sweetheart he is. He’s a notorious sneaky kisser, a total snuggle bug, and always ready to play. He brings so much joy to everyone around him, and seeing him in pain has been heartbreaking.

Oliver is a cherished member of our family, and my folks have poured everything they have into taking care of his medical costs. But the reality is—it’s more than they can handle alone.

I know so many of us would do anything for our pets—and I never like asking for help—but we can’t do this without support.
