Ebb & Flow Atlantic Row 2024

We are a mixed team of 3 ladies - Julie, Sally, and Mary and 1 lucky (or unlucky!) guy Ed, about to embark on an on a 3000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean in the World’s Toughest Row. The race is organised by Atlantic Campaigns.

The race starts in La Gomera, Canaries and finishes in English Harbour, Antigua. We will be partly self-funding and partly reaching out for funding to help us get to the start line. We are grateful for every penny you can donate.

This is an incredible adventure and once we have raised the funds to enable us to do the race we can start to donate monies to our charities, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Blesma and the St. James's Place Children's foundation. We actively engage with schools, colleges and Uni's to inspire and engage with children and students across the UK to focus on the STEM subjects and the adventure. The row will require these key skills including areas such as nutrition, physical and mental endurance and navigation skills. Science, technology, engineering and maths will be heavily used to safely get us across the ocean. This is as much a social experiment as it is physical. We would welcome any university students who wish to perform studies on us from a physical and mental health perspective. We can become a floating laboratory of the human body as well as the sustainability factor of cleaner oceans.

We aim to use as much biodegradable packaging and equipment as possible, make our own water and to ensure the row is as sustainable as we can, to make this a world worth living in.

We can all make a difference no matter how small because it is the most simple of gestures that make the most significant of differences.
