We are raising funds to support Megan (Ashley) Storms and Jay Ashley as they say goodbye to their mother and wife, Nina Ashley.

In the last few months, Nina's health has quickly declined with no known cause or diagnosis. What started as muscle weakness and confusion has quickly turned into the unimaginable. This past week, the family received the news that Nina has CJD, a horrible disease that is quickly terminal. She will soon be transferred to hospice care.

Megan and her husband, David, have been back and forth between Wilmington, NC, and Richmond, VA, several times in the last few months as they supported Nina and Jay through the many hospital stays. This has created a financial burden we hope to lessen, between gas, meals, and lodging for them and their dog, on top of the emotional turmoil.

Jay has been by Nina's side as much as he can, and the medical bills have already started to arrive. Jay is facing the reality of losing his wife to a horrible disease, and we are raising money to help make this time less burdensome for him and his family.

Money raised will be used for meals, transportation, medical, and upcoming funeral expenses and go directly to the family. Anything helps, even words of encouragement to the family during this difficult time.
