Help Toby Get Life-Saving Surgery

Update: Thank you so much to everyone who has helped donate so far - I can’t say what a relief this is. With some suggestions, I’m looking at options to take Toby out of state or possibly to a medical school to lower costs. I’m updating my goal as we will *hopefully* need less now. Hey everyone! This is me and my precious dog, Toby! I am raising funds for a surgery that Toby desperately needs.

Toby was recently diagnosed with bilateral perineal hernias. The only treatment option is surgery, and the procedure is expected to cost around $13,000. Toby just turned 8 years old this year, and is just beginning his senior years. Without this surgery, Toby’s condition will continue to worsen and could lead to fatality. I am not ready to lose my happy, otherwise healthy, silly boy. He has so much life still ahead of him.

I am asking for any donation amount you can spare to help cover the costs. I have pet insurance for him, but unfortunately it will only cover up to $5000 of the procedure, leaving around $8000 left to pay.

While these donations go to the benefit of Toby, I can’t express how grateful I would be to have some of this burden taken off my shoulders. I am so sad and worried for Toby. It is heartbreaking to watch his condition worsen and feel like I don’t have the means to help him. I’m not one to ask for help usually, but Toby is one of the most important things in my life and I don’t know where else to turn.
