A Woodland Trust memorial grove for David Norminton

REMEMBERING DAVID NORMINTON (1946-2024)

David's three children - Natalie, Isabelle and Gregory - have set up this donation page for all who would like to commemorate our beloved father's life with a donation to a charity that meant a lot to him: the Woodland Trust.

The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the United Kingdom, concerned with the creation, protection, and restoration of native woodland heritage.

Many of you will know what a dedicated conservationist David was - not least with his volunteer work on Bagshot Heath. He was a member of many conservation organisations, but we've opted for the Woodland Trust, which he supported pretty much since its foundation.

We are hoping to raise enough money to dedicate an acre of new woodland to his memory, complete with a memorial plaque. This would be in Stratton Wood near Swindon. Here's a link: https://shop.woodlandtrust.org.uk/dedication/selectwood?productId=21
