October was a life-threatening (and life-changing) month for our beloved Shelly. What started off as a consistent migraine for two months turned into something much more serious. After receiving news that an MRI scan showed a golf-ball-sized brain tumor, Shelly was immediately airlifted to a hospital in Denver. One brain surgery and a 10-day hospital stay later, and Shelly is learning how to navigate life with this new reality.
While her recovery is going well, her finances have taken a hit as she hasn't been able to work for months now, and will not be able to return to work for quite some time as she will be beginning chemotherapy and radiation in the weeks to come. She has also lost part of her vision, which can potentially keep her from driving and working if there is no improvement. This is all in addition to the massive amount of medical bills that are heading her way.
This is an opportunity for all of us to take some stress and pressure off of Shelly so that she can focus on recovering at a healthy pace. All funds raised will assist in covering medical expenses -- past, present, and future -- and day-to-day expenses such as mortgage, utilities, and necessities.
Any amount makes a difference, and it is all so greatly appreciated!
