Hi, my name is Lorey and I am climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp from the 30th Sept until 12th Oct 2023 to help raise funds to TNR (Trap, Neuter and Release) some of the hundreds of stray cats and kittens in the UAE.

The number of unneutered stray and frequently dumped cats in the UAE is currently reaching epidemic proportions, and with no official rescue centres in place, many rescuers and fosters are working tirelessly to help curb the problem without any support or formal funding.

It's costs approx 30-40£ to neuter a stray male cat, and 40-50£ to spay a female cat through select vets offering special charity rates, which is a big financial commitment for these individuals who are battling to help curb the growing colonies. Unfortunately many of the cats found on the streets have additional health issues that also require medical attention which mean the bills add up even more every day.

I am hoping to raise at least 1,500£ to donate to a small group of rescuers currently operating in Dubai, so if you feel like this is a cause you would like to support, however small the contribution, it would be very much appreciated. Updates with images of the cats that have been TNR'd and/or received much needed medical help with your donations will be posted.
