Disabled Couple Needs Help!!!

Greetings... My name is Scott L Ritchie. I am a disabled veteran. My wife, Kristen, is also disabled. Kristen was in an automobile accident on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022. Our great old 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was totaled in that accident. The Santa Fe was our only means of transportation. Kristen was also injured in the accident. We have multiple doctors' appointments each month, along with numerous other needs for a reliable, used vehicle.

We both live on fixed incomes. As a result of asking for suggestions from trusted friends and family, it was recommended that we should start a GoFundMe page. So here we are! We are still deeply in debt from Kristen's multiple open heart surgeries, which all occurred over the past decade. The surgeries were necessary to repair a childhood heart anomaly. As a result, we simply do not have the money needed to purchase a reliable used vehicle, but we desperately need one.

Every little bit helps, and all donations will go towards getting us into a vehicle that will take us from point A to point B and back for all of our medical appointments, food shopping, and medication retrieval from our pharmacy. We have no social life and do not go out for entertainment as it is too complicated and too expensive for us. This vehicle would only be used as a necessity, not as a nicety.

I have never done anything like this before and am not certain it is even the correct thing to do. However, we find ourselves between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Using public transportation is not an option as it does not run in the areas where many of our physicians are located. Taxi fare is simply too expensive to justify. To put it very plainly... we need a reliable vehicle.
