On Sunday 24th may , what should of been a beautiful bank holiday weekend our lives were shattered at the tragic news no one ever thinks they will receive. We are absolutely heartbroken as a family and still trying to come to terms with everything.

We want to say thankyou for all the msgs, wishes and offers of support from everyone in the community. Declan was a beautiful, funny kind lad and by the response this gors to show how much he meant to people, from his mates, school friends, st helens who he played for , other football teams and anyone who had come across him in life… shows how much he was loved…..

People have kindly offered and ask if in anyway they can help and thankyou so much for the generosity. So on behalf of the family we have set up a go fund me for people to donate to, this will go towards giving Declan the biggest, bestest send off he absolutely deserves, and any remaining amount will be put towards a memorial/ donation in declans name…

We would also like to thank lincolnshire police, ambulance, fire and rescue teams that came to help in a traumatic situation in just going about there job..

would also like to say that this has brought massive awareness not just in Lincolnshire but highlights the danger of water and will hopefully save others lives……
