Donate to Help Jeorgias family and her babies

Hi, my name is Katie, and I am fundraising for the McEvoy family.

On January 13th, my best friend Jeorgia McEvoy, aged 29, suffered a catastrophic brain bleed, which caused a major stroke at 34 weeks pregnant with her second child. She had to undergo an emergency C-section that night to save the baby. Her family was called to the hospital as things looked dire for Jeorgia. Miraculously, after major brain surgery and the removal of part of her skull to reduce swelling, she remained in stable condition. She had a tracheostomy and was in a coma for six weeks. Jeorgia remains in the hospital six months later with life-changing injuries.

Her two babies, Skye (aged 2) and Lake (6 months), are being cared for by her mother and siblings. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for the family. Jeorgia's road to recovery is long, and any donations will go towards living expenses, care for her children, and Jeorgia's daily needs. She will also need adaptations to her home when she finally returns, where she belongs—with her family. This will alleviate the financial stress on her family, as Jeorgia's mother, Anita, is out of work and does not know when she will be able to return.

Anyone who knows Jeorgia will know she lived for her baby Skye and was eagerly looking forward to the arrival of her baby boy. For it to end up this way is absolutely devastating. Jeorgia is the funniest, most loving person I know, and she did not deserve this to happen to her. Let's help Jeorgia and her family during this incredibly hard time.
