Butter Rum was Shot in the Face
Donation protected
Butter Rum was rescued in Lafayette, LA. His face was completely mangled by an unspeakable trauma. The speculation was that he had been shot in the face. There was buckshot embedded under his skin. Wildcat Foundation spent thousands of dollars on surgeries to repair the gaping hole in his face. We knew there were more surgeries and procedures to come. We knew this would be a long road to recovery. But in the meantime, he needed a home so he came to live with me.
Recently, Butter Rum's face became severely swollen because his teeth had also been shattered and an exposed root had become abscessed. Once again, he is in a lot of pain. It's clear it's time to continue his journey toward healing.
In order to be pain-free, Butter Rum needs more surgeries right away. He needs extensive dental work and the retina in one of his eyes has now detached, presumably as a result of his earlier injuries. So he will also need an eye removed.
This comes at a time when I have just spent a fortune to move from Florida to New Orleans and have just paid for several other costly feline emergencies. So today, I am turning to my friends for a little assistance. Will you contribute toward Butter Rum's critical surgery? This is a cat that is joyful despite the pain. He purrs and purrs and is constantly making biscuits with his paws. He deserves to live pain-free and I could really use some help from y'all this time.
Thanks so much for your consideration!
