Bucks for Brodie
Donation protected
Anybody who knows me, knows that my little dog Brodie is my world. I adopted him from the Humane Society 3 years ago after my therapist suggested I find an animal to help me with my anxiety and PTSD from being held up at gun point and robbed. The amount of support and loyalty Brodie has provided me these last 3 years is priceless. Because of him, I am able to put my anxiety aside in order to be a kinder, more supportive person and friend to all.
Last Saturday, Brodie suffered from a herniated slipped disc which caused compression of the spinal cord between the 12th & 13th thoracic vertebra. This unexpected injury forced doctors to have to operate immediately in order to prevent Brodie from being permanently paralyzed in his hind legs. (Below is a video of Brodie a day after his surgery attempting to use his hind legs). These last few days have truly been the most traumatic and stressful times we have ever encountered. Now that Brodie is out of surgery, we are looking at a minimum of 6 weeks recovery and rehab in order for him to heal. On top of this, I am now faced with over $8000 in vet bills. During this time, I am asking for any kind of help in donations to the Bucks for Brodie fundraiser. For every donation, no matter the size, you will receive a photoshopped photo of Brodie doing something you love as a thank you. Please keep in mind that I am not the best at photoshop. But it will be sure to make you laugh. Through the support and love of our friends and family, let’s get Brodie back on his feet!
