We’re reaching out to rally support and help Miss Billie cross the final stretch toward reopening her beloved community restaurant. She’s so close — but like many small business owners, she’s hit a few financial hurdles that she can’t overcome alone.

And while Billie would never ask for financial help herself, those of us who have seen her generosity and dedication know she deserves it.

A Little Background

Billie opened her small restaurant right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the odds, she worked tirelessly to create not just a great place to eat, but a positive, uplifting space for the Barstow community.

Over the years, Billie’s Kitchen has:

Hosted free community events for our kids and families - including Letters to Santa Christmas Party and A Very Hoppy Easter Adventure!

‍♀️ Partnered with local law enforcement for “Tacos with Cops”

‍♂️ Welcomed Bear Son for a meet-and-greet

Fed and sponsored local sports teams

Rewarded kids with free ice cream for good grades

Sponsored local athletes and pageant contestants

Fed unhoused neighbors countless times

…and that’s truly just the tip of the iceberg.

Where Things Stand Now

After outgrowing her first location, Billie was offered the chance to move into a larger space — a dream come true! But the building had been untouched for over a decade and required massive cleanup and renovation before she could even begin operations.

Billie gave up her original location to focus on the remodel. She and her family have poured thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours into this new space, doing as much as possible with their own hands.

Now, she’s nearly there — but still needs help to finish the final, expensive steps before reopening.
