Hello, my name is Niamh O’Leary, and I am the President of the newly formed Irish Association of Andalucía, officially established under Spanish legislation alongside Vice President Cian O’Leary and Secretary Adrian Cox.

We are a family-run, community-focused association with a simple but powerful mission:

to bring people together, celebrate Irish culture, promote Torrox Costa, and share joy with the world.

Our vision is to create a friendly, inclusive space where people from all walks of life can come together to experience everything that is positive, fun, kind, and joyful about Irish culture and community life. We believe in lifting people up, building connections, and creating moments that families, locals, and visitors will cherish.

Through social events, group trips, tourism initiatives, and cultural celebrations, we aim to make Torrox Costa a vibrant meeting point of Irish, Spanish, and international cultures.

What We Plan to Do

Our projects will include (but are not limited to):

Live bands and traditional Irish music

Irish dance classes

Craft-making workshops

️ Fun and accessible Irish language sessions, alongside Irish–Spanish language exchanges

Cultural storytelling and historical talks, including inspiring stories such as Mary Elmes, the Irish humanitarian who helped save lives during the Spanish Civil War

Irish folklore and traditions, from the true origins of Halloween to the story of St. Patrick himself

️ Event stalls for Irish, Spanish, and international businesses to showcase and sell their products

️ Food, drink, and family-friendly fun for all ages
