Battle for Ray O'Hara
Donation protected
If you know Ray O’Hara, then you are lucky! And if you don’t, trust me, he is an amazing friend, father, neighbor and husband. And right now Ray needs our support! Please help us in his fight against Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. In 2020, after many tests and inconclusive results, Ray was diagnosed with a rare lung disease. Over the past few months, Ray’s condition has gotten worse and he is currently at a 28% lung capacity. Just walking through his house is a battle. This is an incurable disease and the only way to prolong his life is through a double lung transplant. The process for this to happen is costly. In the coming months, Ray will have to undergo multiple screenings and tests. His blood type is B- and blood donations are greatly appreciated as well. At 62 year old, Social Security has him labeled as “disabled” but yet he can’t claim Medicare for another 3 years. He can’t wait that long! Right now, what insurance he does have comes at sky high premiums through a Cobra plan.
While Ray continues fight this disease, the costs of his medication, testing and on-going medication treatment costs continue to rise. Quite frankly the financial costs he faces is staggering, but he is determined and willing to fight!
I am telling you this story because he and his wife Cindy, need your help. If you can make a financial donation to help, I know they will be forever grateful. In order to give Ray a chance of living the remainder of his life to the fullest, please donate here. We all want to make sure he receives the very best of care and has every possible resource available to help with his recovery and quality of life.
Let’s show Ray and the O’Hara Family that they are loved and not alone, and we are all here for his support.
