Baby Josiah Gamez is Fighting Cancer!

Josiah Gamez was born December 13, 2021. He was a healthy baby boy! He loved singing his ABC's and counting to three with his mama. Around 14 months of age, his mom (Gabby) noticed he wasn't feeling well. He started vomiting and showing other symptoms. After multiple doctors visits and no answers, Gabby finally took Josiah to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN on March 29, 2023. That day, Gabby got the news NO mother ever wants to hear. Josiah had a brain tumor. He was diagnosed with ATRT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor). Gabby has lived with her son in the hospital ever since!!!!! When Josiah was born, his grandpa, Armando retired from his career to provide child care for him while Gabby worked and provided for their family. Gabby has since had to resign from her job and Grandpa Armando makes the trip to visit him several times a week. It's a four hour drive round trip.

Gabby and Armando became friends of mine several years ago. They inspired me even before Josiah's diagnosis, as they are a true example of family taking care of family. They love, they care, and they are committed! From the moment I learned Gabby was pregnant, I knew she was going to be an amazing mother; and Armando is the most dedicated grandfather I've ever met.

This is a horrible curveball in life no one can ever plan or budget for. Every dollar helps! Household bills continue to come in, meals are needed when on the road, and gas is needed in the tank so Armando can continue to simply hold baby Josiah multiple times a week. If you're unable to give financially, I simply ask that you share Josiah's story so the world can pray for this little baby. We need to pray for healing for Josiah, strength for his family, and wisdom for his medical staff.
