My name is Audrey Kurtz and I am a Senior at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Marine City, Michigan. I am very engaged in my school and I lead multiple student organizations such as Student Council, NHS, Drama Club, Ecology Club, and Student Liturgy. Also, I enjoy being a part of the Girls Soccer Team, Mock Trial Team, and SADD. Outside of school, I am an active member of the community as a volunteer for a local hospital and I provide help and supplies for local charities.
The prospects of attending college and choosing a career path are just ahead of me. I know I have the drive and the ability to push myself and reach my potential doing something that I am passionate about. I have really grown as I took advantage of opportunities to stand out from the crowd and be influential as a leader. However, I feel that I should strive to be a strong leader in the future and I am optimistic that I can help make the world a better place.
Now I have the chance to be a part of something great! This is an outstanding opportunity for me to attend the upcoming Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. I view this as a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I will become inspired by world leaders, learn more about national and global issues plus gain a better understanding of our Federal Government. At the Summit, I will work with a team of my peers in developing ideas to solve problems that face my generation. Output from my team will be presented to our next President and Congress! Furthermore, I plan to broaden my network and seek scholarship and grant funding for my college education. Not only will I be better equipped to act for change on the local and national level, but this experience will hopefully set me apart from the crowd as I apply for college and scholarships.

This is truly a dream come true! The cost includes the program plus lodging, meals, and travel expenses. I am asking for your help to cover the costs:
Summit Program $3,500
Travel expenses $500
Total $4,000
This event is coming up fast! The program is January 18-22, and I will continue to fundraise until the entire cost has been covered.
