In memory of Dr. Rodney Andrews, we ask that you please consider supporting our family during this unexpected and difficult time.

Our father passed away on Friday, May 12 th 2023 at the early age of 47. Our father was deeply passionate about the transformative effect of education. He was the first person in his family to attend college, earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He later received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Our father loved his family and cherished spending time with his wife, four children-- Taylor, Radha, Rodney, and Brendan--and his granddaughter, Fallon. In his spare time, he was a basketball enthusiast and adored the Los Angeles Lakers as well as following the professional career trajectories of Georgia Tech athletes.

Our family is currently based in Dallas, Texas, but our father’s funeral services will take place in his hometown of Madison, Georgia. Accordingly, any funds from this gofundme campaign will be used to offset funeral expenses and travel costs for our family. Any surplus funds beyond our $10,000 goal will be used to support our mother, Tanya Andrews—an Army and Air Force veteran—who is disabled due to multiple sclerosis and can no longer work to support our family. Surplus funds will also be used to help support Brendan, our youngest brother, who will be starting his final year at Plano West Senior High School and pursuing college afterward.
