Ariel, an Adorable Chihuahua, Urgently Surgery

Meet Ariel, an adorable fifteen-year-old Chihuahua from California who is currently battling a serious and painful condition—an Inguinal SQ mass. To help him recover, Ariel urgently needs surgery to remove the mass that is estimated to cost $2,830. Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $400 grant, but his dad is trying to raise an additional $1,845.75 for the remainder of the funds that Ariel needs to move forward with the treatment.

His loving dad has shared his heartfelt story, which you can read—along with more adorable photos—on Ariel’s fundraising page.
You can help make a life-changing difference for Ariel and his family by making a tax-deductible donation toward his veterinary care. Every dollar brings him closer to healing.

If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing his fundraising page helps spread the word and brings us closer to our goal.

Thank you for being a part of Ariel’s journey. Let’s give him the chance he deserves.

“Ariel is my friend and family member who came into my life as a puppy from a friend in 2011, 15 years ago. I fell in love with him even though I wanted a girl because of his beautiful cream color coat and sweet brown eyes. He has such a beautiful face and eyes that look through you with love. Ariel is 15 years old, but as a small breed can live longer. He can still live out his life with the help of medical care. Ariel is love on four paws. He’s my heart, like my son and best friend.

Ariel’s illness began as a small growth, but over four years the growth has grown and has become a grave burden for him. I was never able to move forward with any medical attention due to limited income and my own conditions. I too have challenges to overcome throughout my journey in life and Ariel by my side. Ariel's diagnosis is a mass that needs removal so that he can live the rest of his life with some comfort and joy. This surgery to remove this obstruction and to function normally along with is heart condition which requires that he will need an echo procedure in order to undergo the surgery safely. The surgery and echo all come with an unaffordable cost. This is all unfair to Ariel and he deserves a healthy enjoyable life as he has given to me. These surgery costs are impossible for a low-income owner to afford and we need the communities support. The cost is estimated at $4,226.65 for both the surgery and echo procedure.

The treatments Ariel has already received have been costly especially for someone with very limited income. A pending bill had to be paid in order to proceed with an exam for the estimated surgery cost. The pending due bill took my remaining funds for the month. I then was dependent on donations for food and essentials. Although Paws 4 A Cure have been so compassionately giving and have given from their assistance program. Ariel still needs more to get this healing journey complete for him.

Please consider what you can give to help him along and to say a grateful thank you to the donors for your humanity and concern for my service pet and family member that I’ve had for 15 years. He’s still a healthy pet and I wish for him to pass this life in a natural older age not from this pain and immobility when there is a cure or surgery that can give him his continued life. God Bless you and thank you in Jesus name.”
