Archer's Cataract Surgery
Donation protected
We are the Russ Family, and our beloved dog Archer has been diagnosed with severe and rapidly growing cataracts. The vet told us that in 6 months he is likely to lose his vision in both eyes. Since he was a puppy we have kept close watch on his vision, and there was a chance he would have normal eyesight with at-home treatments. Within the past few months, things took a turn for the worse and his conditions is deteriorating quickly.
The next step for us is to schedule surgery. This is a very costly procedure, and with his condition being pre-existing, insurance will not cover the costs.
Archer is a field golden retriever, and they are a very active breed. He needs consistent exercise in order to maintain a happy and healthy life. With loss of his vision, he will not be able to do the things he loves most - chasing the ball, swimming, wrestling and running with his dog friends, watching the birds and squirrels in the backyard, etc.
We are grateful for any help our friends, family, and fellow pet-lovers can provide. Anything and everything helps.
Sincerely,
Jeff & Tara Russ
