Our Neighbor Kathy was devastated as we comforted each other. We viewed the remains of our homes reduced to Ashes by Eaton Fires together on 01/08/2025. It was a true resemblance of cremation!!!

Flames Took Our Home, But Not Our Spirit - Help Us Heal"

On January 7, 2025, at 6:23 PM, the devastating Eaton Fire broke out near Altadena Drive in Altadena. Fueled by fierce Santa Ana winds reaching speeds of 60 to 70 mph, the fire quickly spread, consuming our beloved Altadena home nestled in the foothills.

By January 11, the fire had grown to 14,117 acres with only 3% containment, destroying 972 structures and damaging 84 others. The Santa Ana winds, coupled with critically dry fuels and complex terrain, created a perfect storm for this catastrophic event.

My name is Anne Turner, and I've lived in Altadena for 10 years since immigrating to the United States. This was my husband Lee's childhood home. We've been active community members, supporting local events and volunteering for the American Red Cross. As a Registered Nurse Leader who has served Kaiser Permanente, Providence Health, and HCA Healthcare, I'm currently unemployed.

We lost everything in this fire – family heirlooms, irreplaceable photographs, important documents, and all our personal belongings.

Any additional funds will go towards recovery and assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.
