On the night of August 15th, Zach was driving home from work when he drove off the road and had a head on collison with a tree. Fortunately a nearby resident heard the crash and called 911. They rushed him to Albany Medical Center where he had to undergo an emergency craniotomy, which means they had to remove a portion of the skull to access the brain. Along with the tramatic brain injury, he suffered a fractured hip and several fractured ribs along with a bruised lung. He remains in critical condition in the neuro ICU unit in Albany Medical Center. This is going to be a very long road for Zach and his family including many months of rehabilation. Any money raised will go towards Zach's continued long term care and expenses.
