Hi, we are the Aunt and Uncle of Shelby Whitsett and are raising funds for the medical expenses and memorial services of our beloved niece on behalf of her parents.
On October of 2016 Shelby was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition known as Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). The numerous doctors that have seen Shelby during this time have stated that they have never seen a patient with FTD as young as Shelby. Our beloved Shelby was admitted to the Madison State Hospital in September of 2016 with what we believed would be a short term stay while they adjusted her medications. After meeting with the doctors it was soon determined that she would not return home as she was diagnosed with a terminal illness (FTD).
Shelby Elizabeth Whitsett, born 07-12-1991 was a beautiful soul from day one. If you knew Shelby she absolutely loved you with all her heart and unconditionally. She had a smile that was contagious and her laugher was infectious. She was so beautiful inside and out. To know her was to love her.
