The journey to our Portuguese retreat place

We are glad that you have landed on our crowdfunding page. You are here because we want to ask your support for the first exploratory phase in realizing our biggest dream: creating a retreat place in Portugal where self-development, nature, creativity, expression, connection, health, sustainability, holistic living are central.

We would love to tell you more about that below.

First we want to introduce ourselves and our mission to you.

We are Abel and Daisy

Abel:

As a little kid I grew up in a musical family, traveling around the world and getting to meet many extraordinary cultures and people. I saw a broad and rich perspective of different ways of living. This in great contrast to the beaten path of today's Western society, where we as humans seem to drift further and further away from ourselves, each other and nature.

After experiencing periods of this disconnection myself, several years ago I chose a life I dreamed of as a child. A free and back to basic life surrounded by nature, living out of my campervan. Along the way I recorded stories around alternative and conscious ways of living (podcasts, interviews, music videos).

I am happy to show you other perspectives of life, where it is possible to live from connection with ourselves, others and nature. Where countless ways exist to shape your unique dream life. I do this by organizing events, giving massages/healing sessions and storytelling (podcasts, interviews, music videos).

Daisy:

I was 6 years old when I knew my biggest dream of all and told my mom I was going to be a singer later. 15 years later I graduated from the Conservatory of Music and started performing in musicals. However, I soon found out that I didn't feel happy here and asked myself: have I spent 15 years pursuing my dream tunnel vision for nothing? As exciting as that was, I decided to follow my heart, quit and began to study photography and the holistic view in this life. Not much later, I felt the call to combine music and healing.

My mission is to lovingly guide others on their path to authentic connection with themselves and others, moving in trust and in connection with the inner source of love. I do this by giving sound performances/healings, massages, hands-on healing, connected breathwork, movements, meditation, dialogue and yoga, among other things.

Another great mission is to lovingly interact with nature. I feel it is my responsibility to deal with her sustainably. We do not own her but borrow her and leave her to our children. I like to create an environment where we interact authentically, in harmony, with ourselves, others and nature.

From Love our individual paths and missions came together and we decided that NOW is the time to step into our shared dream. Both with a heart for conscious entrepreneurship we are ready to join hands.

Why is our dream important?

We live in a society where more and more is expected of us and where stress, illness and social pressure increase in full speed. On a macro level, we see wars, natural disasters and diseases as an expression of total disconnection with ourselves and nature. On an individual level, this makes many out of touch with themselves and thus their true dream in life.

How do we want to contribute?

A world where we are in disconnection with ourselves, others and nature requires a place where we can live from our hearts. At our retreat place, diverse offerings and guidance will be provided by holistic specialists. In a safe environment, you will work with deep-seated patterns and beliefs that hold you back from living the life you want. Only when we are in true connection with ourselves and our environment, the space arise to manifest our dreams into reality.

We feel the call to step into our own dream life, and by that inspring others to do the same. Our plan is to create a retreat place where young and old get all the space they need to discover themselves and their dreams. On a piece of land in Portuguese nature. A place where self-development, nature, creativity, expression, connection, health, sustainability, holistic living are central.

What will we do upcoming period?

We are now entering the exploratory phase, where we will undertake the following, traveling from our campervan:

- Search for our dream land in Portugal

- Writing the business plan for our retreat place

- Giving 4 hands massages and healing sessions

- Organizing busroom-concerts and soundjourneys

- Giving cacao ceremonies from our campervan cacaobar

- Recording podcasts: from dream to reality (inspiring and inviting people along the way to step into their dreams)

- Creating art through photography

What are we asking financial support for in this exploratory phase?

- Bus maintenance

- Kilometers on the road

- Time and energy in writing the business plan/investment plan and doing location research

- Building a website/ platform

- Promotional material

- Branding and marketing

- Setting up a local network in Portugal

- Materials for art/photography

- Raw cocoa purchasing + decoration for the cocoa bar and giving ceremonies

- Massages (oils and essential oils)

- Instruments and equipment for sound healing and ceremonies (handpan, crystal bowls, native flute, shamanic drum, tuning forks, battery, amplifiers, recording equipment)

With this funding there are no lotteries, wagers, giveaways or promotions offered in exchange for donations.
