Bridget & Louie's Trip to San Diego
Donation protected
Bridget and Louie were taken into custody by the police in early January 2016 from a house that had been using them for dog fighting and breeding. Bridget had just miscarried a liter of puppies, had her teeth grinded down to her gums (for use as a bait dog in fighting), and had several deep cuts/scars throughout her body. Louie had to have a barbed wire collar cut off of his neck (which left lacerations), had severe mange, had weak legs due to growing up on a chain, and very low self esteem. When we brought them home, they had never been inside a house before. They had never walked up stairs or laid on a couch or eaten daily. But now, after 5 long months, they have been reborn! They are confident, healthy, happy and ready for their new forever home! We have had several potential adopters, but no one has outshined the adopter that we have chosen. We have set up this page to raise money to transfer Bridget and Louie to San Diego, California where they will live in a house, with a doggie door, fenced in backyard, and be close to a dog beach! This adopter has previously adopted pitbull mixes and does not currently have any other dogs competing for the attention Bridget and Louie so rightfully deserve! Please help us raise money for a rental van, gas, and lodging on our adventure to San Diego from Houston, Texas. We are personally planning on driving them out. If you have any questions about why we are raising money or where this money will go, please message us on our Facebook page. Thank you to everyone that has followed these dogs since the beginning! We appreciate every kind word and prayer. Please look at our Facebook for more information and to see their whole story!
