My sister Ashley has recently found out that she has Glioblastoma which is a cancer of the brain that is extremely aggressive. Due to the progression of it, her doctor and his team are deciding to bring her to Columbia University where specialists in neurosurgery will perform the surgery. She will be there for about a week until she can come home. The surgery that they have decided to do is an awake Crainiotomy to reduce the post surgery effects. After the surgery we are still going to have a long road ahead of us. Everyone from my family and her boyfriends family have been traveling to and from Riverview to be with her at all times. Her number one concern above all is how she will pay for this. It is my main concern that after all of this her main focus is recovery over everything else. Even if you can not donate please keep my sister and my family in your prayers while we go through this truly traumatic time. We hope from the support and prayers of family and friends that we can get through this.. thank you xx
