Aisat Goes To Singapore

Hello, everyone my name is Aisat Oladokun. I am a High School Junior in Chicago at Perspectives Leadership Academy. I’m sure many of you love to travel, and if you know me, you know I do as well! I was recently invited to join Yale Global Scholars in Singapore for a week this summer. It is an incredible opportunity to interact with other like-minded scholars from across the globe, while simultaneously taking part in discussions, lectures, and one-on-one mentorships surrounding global issues. However, it all comes at a cost. I received a full scholarship for the program itself, but I have to provide my own airfare as well as taking care of a few logistical tasks before departing. I would so appreciate your help in anyway possible with making this incredible opportunity a reality.
As mentioned above, I love traveling and have studied abroad before, and hope to continue to do so in my future.
In the summer of 2014, I was awarded a scholarship worth $4,000 to go to Panama, City Panama and the San Blas Islands. There I gave my service, learned Spanish and a language called Kuna, built a cafeteria, and taught children English.
In the summer of 2015, I was awarded a scholarship worth $6000 to Study Abroad in Tokyo, Japan. There I took Japanese classes and learned about Japanese culture.
March 12-21, 2016, I was invited by Google Australia to construct a Robot to compete in the Australian Regional Robotics Competition in Sydney, Australia. There my Robotics Team, The Chicago Knights and I, went against 50 teams , in which we came in 3rd place. I had a great time and love all of my experiences!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
