My name is Abuimara Hisham, and I live in Germany. I created this fundraiser on behalf of my family in Gaza — especially for my Sister, Alaa Abdel Karim Abu Omara, and our parents, siblings, and their children.
Like thousands of others from the Khan Younis refugee camp, they were forced to flee to the south of Gaza. Since then, they’ve been living under inhumane conditions. Their home is gone. Their income is gone. And every single day has become a desperate fight for survival.

From Teacher to Survivor
My Sister Alaa was an English teacher, a graduate of the Islamic University of Gaza. He loved his work and gave tutoring lessons at a private institute. But the war took everything — the school, his students, and his future.
Our father owned a small contracting and trading business, working alongside my older brother. That, too, was destroyed.
Today, they are left with nothing — no shelter, no work, and no safety.

A Slice of Bread — An Unaffordable Luxury
What used to be basic necessities — food, clean water, shelter — are now luxuries, often completely unavailable.
Even with money, it’s nearly impossible to find essentials:
• 1 kg of flour now costs 10 times what it used to — if you can find it.
• Clean drinking water is sold in small amounts at outrageous prices.
• Cooking gas and fuel are almost non-existent.
• Medicines for children, the elderly, and my younger brother (who needs special care) are often out of reach.
The cost of surviving for a single day has become unimaginable — not just in money, but in exhaustion, fear, and loss.

️ What They Lost, What We’re Fighting to Restore
Our home in Khan Younis was more than walls. It was where generations of love, learning, and laughter were shared. It’s now reduced to rubble.
Among the displaced are:
• Parents who have lost their sons’ income and support
• Children growing up surrounded by destruction and trauma
• A younger brother who needs daily care in conditions that make even the most basic support nearly impossible
⸻
Why We Need You
This fundraiser is their only lifeline. Because of the war and local restrictions, my family cannot open their own GoFundMe account. That’s why I’ve taken this step — to be their voice and share their story with the world.
Your donation, no matter the amount, is a light in the darkness. It means:
• A warm meal
• A bag of flour or rice
• Drinking water
• Temporary shelter
• Medicine for the vulnerable
• Hope

✊ Stand With Us
We believe in the kindness and compassion of people. We know that even in the worst of times, humanity still exists.
Please help us share this fundraiser. Every donation, every share, every word of support brings us closer to helping my family survive — and, one day, rebuild.
Thank you from the depths of our hearts.
With hope,
Abuimara Hisham
On behalf of Alaa and our family in Gaza
