Helping Heidi Heal: Supporting a Family Through a Sudden Crisis

Imagine a fun day out with your family, enjoying the water, when suddenly everything changes. That's exactly what happened to our dear friend and colleague, Heidi, the day after her birthday.

While jet skiing with her family, Heidi hit a wave that violently bounced her up and back, causing a severe injury: she broke her back in two places.

Heidi is now facing an incredibly challenging road to recovery, including a major surgery for fusion and laminectomy at T10, T11, T12, L1, and L2. This extensive procedure will require a long recovery period, keeping her from work and the activities she loves.

Heidi is genuinely one of the most generous people any of us have ever met. She's always the first to give everything she has to help those she cares about. Beyond participating in fundraisers, and blanket, coat, and food drives, she regularly goes out of her way to set up wonderful holiday events and carnivals for her family and neighbors, creating joy and community for everyone around her.
