<div><strong>Helping Heidi Heal: Supporting a Family Through a Sudden Crisis</strong>
</div>
<div>Imagine a fun day out with your family, enjoying the water, when suddenly everything changes. That's exactly what happened to our dear friend and colleague, Heidi, the day after her birthday.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While jet skiing with her family, Heidi hit a wave that violently bounced her up and back, causing a severe injury: <strong>she broke her back in two places</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Heidi is now facing an incredibly challenging road to recovery, including a major surgery for <strong>fusion and laminectomy at T10, T11, T12, L1, and L2</strong>. This extensive procedure will require a long recovery period, keeping her from work and the activities she loves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A Chance to Give Back to a Generous Soul</strong>
</div>
<div>Heidi is genuinely one of the most generous people any of us have ever met. She's always the first to give everything she has to help those she cares about. Beyond participating in fundraisers, and blanket, coat, and food drives, she regularly goes out of her way to set up wonderful holiday events and carnivals for her family and neighbors, creating joy and community for everyone around her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, it's our chance to help and support her when she needs it most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Unwavering Spirit, Unexpected Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>Heidi has faced pain and injury in her life before, and she's never let it slow her down. She's driven to get out and experience the world, always working within her limitations and pushing herself to enjoy life to the fullest. An avid hiker, she recently discovered her passion for kayaking, always finding new ways to connect with the outdoors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This injury is a significant setback, especially because Heidi is the primary breadwinner for her family. With her unable to work, the financial strain on her household will be immense, adding incredible stress to an already difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're setting up this GoFundMe to help ease that burden. Your donation will directly support Heidi and her family with:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Medical expenses not covered by insurance.
</li>
<li>Household bills and essential living costs during her recovery.
</li>
<li>Lost income as she focuses on healing.
</li>
</ul>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference and allow Heidi to focus on what matters most: her health and her family. Please consider donating and sharing Heidi's story with your friends, family, and community. Let's rally around her and help her get back to the adventurous and community-loving life she cherishes.
