Thiel Dairy, LLC suffered from a fire in the small community of Kuna, ID on August 14th. This young family of 7 needs the help of our community as they have lost their milking barn- the main source of income for any dairy business.
While no animals or humans were injured in this structural fire, they lost nearly 150,000 pounds of dairy products waiting to be picked up as well as all of the equipment inside the building.
Thiel Dairy, LLC employs approximately 15 people who have been directly affected by this fire. Milk output has been cut drastically as they no longer have the facility to milk as many cows. They’ve had to reduce their herd count and increase their work hours to try and compensate for this loss. Thankfully, insurance coverage will help with this devastating loss. However, it will take time and additional funding for this local business and family to get back on it’s feet. Any help is immensely appreciated as the family moves forward through this stressful time.
